Kandy opened the first Snapdragon Salon about 4 years ago after being an independent stylist for 10 years. When she had the opportunity to expand in our new space on Camelback in 2009, she spread her wings and soared.

Allure magazine voted Kandy Arizona’s best colorist. Her clients absolutley agree! She is busy every moment of the day, everyday of the week.

Her passion, hard work, dedication and love for her clients is an inspiration to all of us lucky enough to know her!

Stephen made to the decision to join Snapdragon in April of 2010. He brought with him a staggering amount of experience and talent. Although we won’t say exactly when it was that he finished his apprenticeship in Blackpoole, UK … let’s just say he’s been perfecting his techniques for decades. Before moving to the Valley of the Sun in 1993, Stephen had an impressive career in both Manchester and London. When returning to the UK in 1997, he became very involved in the HOBB’s Born and Raised in Bristol Hair and Fashion Show for five years, which has since become a local cultural icon. Stephen consistently provides a gentle, almost magical touch.  His precision in haircutting is impeccable.

This charming man is simply brilliant!

Alaina was simply destined to be a hair stylist. She has been taking scissors to the hair of her sister, cousins and friends since elementary school. Even at that age, she showed talent and a knack for fashion!

All we have to say is … we’re happy she decided to pursue her talents.

Alaina’s impressive resume includes editorial and runway work in the UK and a successful 9 year career here in the Valley. Our local yogi stays inspired by learning about her clients’ lifestyle and personality in order to execute the perfect cut, color and style to suit each one individually.

Amina has been a hairstylist since 2002. She is the most recent stylist to join the Snapdragon family, and we are so happy to have her! She believes to be the best you have to learn from the best and that is why she joined our talented team.

Meticulous in the art of hair design, Amina specializes in, but is not is limited to color and cutting techniques. She is a versatile stylist, creating both fashion forward and conservative styles on men and women alike.

She has a very friendly disposition and prides herself on having the ability to truly listen to her clients’ desires and deliver a style that is most flattering on them.

For the past five years Damian has been living and breathing hair – honing his skills and cultivating a style that is all his own. The net result is a growing population of great hair styles in the Valley of the Sun.

Damian has had advanced training in New York in dry cutting and razor cutting techniques, in addition to experience with multiple color lines.

Damian’s clients can attest to his talent, creativity and dedication to excellence. An experience in beauty is what you can expect in his chair.

Janelle Hills is passionate about expressing inner beauty through outer beauty, and is enthusiastic about sharing this passion with her clients.

Janelle studied at Kohler Academy and has been a hair stylist and colorist since 2007. She found her perfect niche at Snapdragon in 2009, and in 2010 became the Salon Network Educator through Bumble and bumble University. She has traveled to several cities, including Los Angeles and New York, to develop her training and knowledge.

Janelle says, “Beauty is everywhere. I am inspired by life around me.” Janelle’s radiant personality and drive are quickly making her a sought-out stylist. Clients always return for an uplifting and empowering experience where their true beauty is expressed through Janelle’s passion and expertise. She’s great.

Jenny’s interesting history with Snapdragon started about 13 years ago. At the time, she had no idea her cut and color experience would be a catalyst for a career change (nearly a decade later!).

Bumble and bumble products and culture is a point of passion for Jenny, helping us maintain and achieve a high standard. Her never-ending pursuit of education has taken her to Revlon Professional in Paris, the House of Bumble in London and the Bumble and Bumble University New York City.

Currently, you can find Jenny busy assisting Kandy and helping everyone with everything at Snapdragon. Keep your eyes on Jenny – she’s our rising star.

Nikole joined Snapdragon in the beggining of 2010. Unlike her peers at the salon, her talents are not related to the creative mastery of hair. Though, a notable cut or color never misses her scope – she loves the science and techniques behind beautiful hair.

Nikole’s professional experience is that of graphic design, creative management and marketing.

Her transition to the salon world has been an increbily fullfilling journey. Working with the talented stylists and wonderful clients makes for very enjoyable days.

Inspired by the unique, individual beauty each person posses, Ana was drawn to many avenues of self expression through a study of the arts. With a background in music production, fashion styling, advertising, and photography, Ana lived the last decade in Los Angeles and New York working, traveling, and learning from some of the best in the industry.

Relocating to Phoenix, Ana redirected her focus to the art of hair dressing. Educated at Kohler Academy and inspired through Bumble  and bumble’s culture and vision has led to the opportunity to join the talented Snapdragon team, assisting and growing under the mentorship of Kandy.

Mel is a heart-centered person who uses dedication and passion as the foundation for all her work. Her education began at Kohler Academy where she fell in love with hairdressing and Bumble and bumble culture. Inspired by the beautiful connection between all people, she uses that energy to create a real and sustaining relationship with Snapdragon clients. A firm believer in the evolution of education, she is delighted to be part of the team and grateful to be learning from some of the most talented and inspiring hairdressers in the valley.

An eye for precision haircuts and enthusiasm for creative color, she brings a bit of spunk and individuality to every look she creates!
